The workout tonight was less intense than Tuesday, which made for a laid back class. As a change of pace, I stayed on top for most of the sparring. It felt weird starting from top, after starting from bottom so much over the past several months. I mainly worked on smash passing, in particular, the double under pass, whenever the opportunity presented itself. The double under guard pass has now become my favorite pass. Also, I recently began reading a biography of Mitsuyo Maeda, the person who introduced jiu jitsu to the Gracie’s in Brazil.
