I tried out my new attack series from the bottom on two different people tonight during sparring. One was a purple belt, and the other was a brown belt. It didn’t work against the purple belt, but it did work against the brown belt. The key to success was to string all the moves together in rapid fire succession before he knew what I was attempting. In the case of the purple belt, I wasn’t able to start at the beginning of the sequence, so I’m not even sure I should count that one. However, I do need to come up with an answer to the way he stuffed my leg. I have something in mind that I think might work. In any case, I think this sequence could end up becoming one of my primary attacks from bottom, given how most people don’t seem to be that good at defending it. I just need to practice it some more, and work out the kinks.
