Class went well tonight. We worked on back takes during drilling, which is something that I I’m definitely interested in improving. The drilling must have helped, as I was able to either fully or partially take the backs of two purple belts and one blue belt during sparring. They were all my size or smaller, but still…anyone of them could have easily turned the tables on me. In fact, one of the purple belts did turn the tables on me, and ended up getting me into side control. I defended for a long time, and nearly escaped, but he caught me with a bread cutter choke in the end. I feel like there are fewer holes in my jiu jitsu game now, but the remaining holes are causing me trouble on a consistent enough basis that I feel like I need to address them within the near future.
