Josh Turner: Alright, my name is Josh Turner, I’ve been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai for 7 months now. I trained in Karate previously before coming here, and I found this gym online, and decided to come in and start training.
0:16 – I want as a– for a career I want to be a professional M.M.A. fighter, that’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m good at fighting, I love the competition in the sport, so that’s what I want to do. I definitely feel like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu wise I’ve definitely learned how to move better and control people, and Muay Thai wise I definitely feel like I’ve gained more strength and definitely really refined my technique.
0:38 – The biggest challenge for me? Probably just putting in the work day after day, day in day out, giving it 110% in every class that I do.
Everybody here at Crazy 88 is absolutely nice, everyone treats each with respect, no one has a super huge ego like “I’m the toughest most strongest guy here I’m gonna beat everybody up.” Everyone here is very level-headed and definitely some of the nicest people I’ve met.
1:09 – ‘Cause our parents are skeptical about it, and they think it’s just two guys getting into a cage and beating each other up, and they’re gonna get hurt. So a lot of parents tend to keep their parents out of combat schools.
Male Voice: And what has your experience been? How would you answer that?
Josh Turner: It has been completely awesome, it’s been really safe, all the instructors know what they’re doing, and it’s in a controlled environment, and it’s definitely– if you want to learn martial arts, this is definitely where you should come.
