I felt a little out of sorts during sparring. I think the reason is that I was trying new things. I was able to pull off some of the new moves in some cases, but was unsuccessful in other cases. Even though most of my experimentation ended up going south, I did hit upon one thing that I think may work for me. It involves transitioning from a knee split pass to a sitting pass. I was able to pull it off against two people, both of whom have respectable guards. I also tried it on a third person, but he seemed to have an answer to everything I tried. I think I can eventually make it work against him as well, with a little more practice.
