Tonight, we did positional drills for the whole hour of sparring. Positional drills are when you spar, but starting out from specific positions. I did my best, although I got reversed several times, mainly due to my smaller size. I was proud of the fact that I was able to hold my ground against a similar sized blue belt for quite a while before he was finally able to pass my guard. I need to work more on my energy efficiency. Sometimes, an upper belt catches me off guard with a move I haven’t seen before, but mostly I get caught with things I know but don’t defend, because I get tired and loose focus.
