Tonight went much better than last time. Granted, I was going against someone who was far less experienced than me. I think I submitted him twice, once with an Americana, and once with a kimura from closed guard. The significant thing about submitting him with a kimura from closed guard was that this was one of the techniques I learned in my very first class, yet this is the first time that I actually submitted someone with the move. Next week, I will be switching to the advanced classes, which are an hour and a half (as opposed to an hour), so this was a nice way to end this stage of my training. I’m guessing most of my matches for the foreseeable future will not be so easy.
