Gerardo Trevino became Crazy 88’s 43rd Blue Belt

This Friday, Gerardo Trevino became a Crazy 88 Blue Belt. Trevino has grown a lot as a BJJ practitioner but also as an adult during his time at Crazy 88 BJJ. All the coaches remember the days when “Trevino – what’s wrong with you?” was a common saying. His parents recall finding hidden candy in his room during the wrestling season when he was allegedly “cutting weight”.

Nowadays, Gerardo has improved his grades and become a well-behaved young adult (hopefully this does not jinx anything). On the competition scene, Gerardo has already placed at the Adult Blue Belt level taking second at a NAGA tournament earlier in the year. Just a few weeks ago, he took Gold at the Miami International Open in the Blue Belt Juvenile division (he bumped up a weight class so he could do the Open division as well). Congratulations to Gerardo!
