The Good Fight: 2011 Maryland Championship Results

Crazy 88 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sent a team of eleven competitors to The Good Fight, which took place just a step away in Severna Park, Maryland on January 15.

Team Lloyd Irvin took the first place team title, surpassing second place with a 95-point lead with a total of 279-points. Starting with the purple belt Gi results, Brad Pearson and Jon Delbrugge split first, David Zwanetz took first, and Al Washington moved up from blue belt to fight and took third. Jon and Brad also split the purple belt open.

In the blue belt division, Devon Delbrugge and Travis Outten split first, and Fred Thompson, Doug Flores, and Al Washington all took first. Chris Tran took first in the teens division and adult white belt division. As you can clearly see we completely dominated the Gi division!

In the advanced division, Jon and Fred split first, and David and Al also took first. Travis came close in second place. Jon and Al also split first place in the open division. Devon took first in the intermediate division. It’s safe to say that Crazy 88 showed all the other schools in Maryland what competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is all about!
